1、What was your first impression of Chinese students?

I think they are very shy, hard-working, good at sciences, not so sociable, and so respectful with the others.

我觉得他们非常害羞，努力，理科很好，不是那么喜欢社交，并且非常尊重其他人。

Je n"avais jamais connu d"étudiants chinois avant toi... Mais j"avais des préjugés les concernant.. Je les voyait comme des personnes qui travaillent beaucoup prés à tout pour réussir ....

我之前没有认识的中国人，但是我有一些偏见……我觉得他们是为了成功可以付出很多的人。

总体来说，我一开始对中国学生的印象是他们都很矜持。

From what I heard, they are mostly quiet and mingle only with other Chinese students. But from what I saw it"s different. They are very polite and share similar thoughts and values as Indians.

我听说他们大多数很安静而且只和其他中国学生玩在一起，但是我自己感受到的是不一样的。他们非常有礼貌而且和印度人有相似的价值观。

My first impression regarding the chinese students was that they were slightly introvert, hard/workers and intelligent students. However, this idea was a preconceived idea I had before actually knowing them.

我对中国学生的第一印象是他们都是有一点内向，努力而且聪明的学生。但是这是一个在我真正了解他们之前的先入为主的想法。

2、What do you think of them now?

It’s depends on the person. I have met so open minded and sociable Chinese students, and the opposite.

这个要看不同的人吧。我遇到过非常开放也擅长社交的中国学生，也遇到过和他们相反的人。

Ducoup après je t"ai rencontré et j"ai vu que tu travaillait beaucoup donc ma vision n"a pas vraiment changé ! Mais elle est très positive !

当我认识了中国人后我觉得很努力所以我的想法没怎么变！而且我觉得这是一个优点。

At this moment I think they are really cool. We can spend time together and share.

就目前来说我觉得他们很酷，我们可以耍在一起。

Once you get to know them more than just in a professional setting you can see their social life and their warm vibes . From personal experience, they are very kind and caring for you once they consider you their friend.

一旦你通过小组作业开始更加了解他们，你会发现他们的社会生活习惯而且他们都是很暖的人。从我个人的经历来说，他们非常友好而且一旦他们认为你是朋友就会非常在乎照顾你。

Interacting with you all totally changed my perceptions. Chinese are very warm and kind of sensitive in nature I think. Generous and friendly.

我们的互动彻底改变了我的观念。我觉得中国人都发自内心非常暖非常善良，他们很大方而且很友好。

Taking into consideration their different culture I sincerely think that in the beggining they face some cultural issues. However, after the multicultural shock I find them really easy going and kind people.

考虑到他们非常不同的文化背景，我觉得可能一开始他们都有一些（跨）文化的问题。但是一旦这个感觉过去我觉得他们是非常随和而且善良的人。

3、In your opinion, what are the biggest difference between Chinese students and students from other countries?

As spanish, I think is the culture, chinese are cold hand more serious than spanish people.

作为西班牙人，我觉得最大的不同是文化。中国人比西班牙人更精明。

Je pense que chaque étudiant est différent mais si je devais faire des généralités je dirais que chaque nationalité à ses spécificités et que les étudiants chinois ont beaucoup travaillé pour étudier à l"université et pourvoir partir à l"étranger ...

我觉得每个中国学生都不一样，但是总体来说，每个民族都有自己的特点，然后每个中国学生比起其他外国学生来说，在学校里都很努力读书。

The biggest difference is the culture, maybe the way of see the world.

最大的不同是文化，可能是看这个世界的方式不同。

in a professional the biggest difference is the working style. In teams, they do not contribute much, but when given a part/ assignment to doon their own, once they bring it to the table they bring excellent work. In a cultural setting, being in an international environment, chinese never rub or superiorize their culture like other nationalities. They introduce you to it if you take interest and ask. For example, i mentioned i loved chinese cuisine and they welcomed me into their homes to introduce to me their tipical plates.

从工作角度来说，最大的不同是工作方式。在小组协商过程中他们并不会很多地参与到其中，但是一旦当每个人的任务分配到他们手中，他们每次最后交上来的工作都非常棒。从文化角度来说，在目前这个国际化背景中，中国人从不像其他国家的人一样觉得自己高人一等（这里可能指有些过分的民族优越感）。他们只有当你感兴趣或者问的时候才会想你介绍。比如我提过我很喜欢中国的食物，然后我的中国朋友就邀请我去他们的家里然后给我介绍他们的当地饮食。

While most others are crazy and loud, Chinese are more calm and composed. Also the networking Among chinese people surprises me so much. So well connected and helpful.

其他人感觉都很疯狂很吵，中国人都更安静且包容。而且，中国人之间的人脉网真的让我非常惊讶，他们都联系很紧密而且非常团结。

Their culture is very distinct from the one I am more used to, the western which is reflected by their attitude and behaviour.

I do not have close close chinese friends, but i can say my best friendship engagements at GEM have been with chinese students. i have 2 whom we eat out once in a while to update on life and simply enjoy eachothers company.

我没有特别特别好的中国朋友，但是我可以说在GEM（小编的学校）最好的友谊就是和中国的学生一起。我又两个中国朋友，我们之前一起出去吃过一阵东西，我们一起聊生活中的事情，我们就是很享受彼此的陪伴。

Even though most chinese students gets along with their chinese group I feel i have, luckily, a couple of chinese friends.

5、Do you know any words or impression in Chinese?

Yes, I know Xibanya, Ni hao, Ni hao ma, Xie xie and wo jiao....

是的，我知道西班牙，你好，你好吗，谢谢和我叫……

Je sais dire "bonjour" et "lune" mais c"est tout ...

我知道怎么说你好，和月亮，但这就是全部了……

I am afraid to ruin the accent but all i know to say in chinese is " Dam" and " yes".

Ni Hao, shi shi, shapi, yao yi de Shao cha fanla . Many more but can"t remember now.
